The overarching objective of the project is to protect, raise awareness, and advocate for the rights and values of the European Union for homeless and vulnerable populations living in precarious conditions. This includes both the capital and more remote areas in Greece with limited service facilities and/or inadequately staffed structures.

Target groups:

The target groups of the project are the homeless, vulnerable individuals, and families in precarious conditions in Athens, Piraeus, Thessaloniki, Salamis, and Ioannina. Additionally, the project aims to involve public and state entities (Municipalities, Regions), services (Tax Office, Citizen Service Centers, National Social Security Fund), Banking Institutions, and Non-Profit Organizations supporting vulnerable groups in the same areas.

Activities: 

  • Supported homeless and vulnerable individuals in 5 Greek cities through 10 empowerment seminars, 16 networking meetings, and 15+ individual info sessions on rights, documents, and benefits.
  • Produced 5 regional brochures, a Best Practices Manual, and an awareness-raising video.
  • Advocated for better healthcare access with a letter co-signed by 23 organizations sent to 24 institutions.
  • Promoted social inclusion by addressing discrimination and raising public and institutional awareness.
