With a budget of €15 million, the Active Citizens Fund programme, funded by Iceland, Lichtenstein and Norway, forms part of the EEA Funding Mechanism for the period 2014-2021. The programme seeks to develop the long-term sustainability and capacity of civil society, in order to reinforce its role in promoting democratic participation, active citizenship and the protection of human rights. In Greece, the Fund is managed by the Bodossaki Foundation in partnership with SolidarityNow.
More information on the programme, including open calls for expressions of interest by NGOs, can be found on the programme website, here.
