The aim of the project is to raise awareness, familiarize and provide knowledge and practices to promote respect, democracy, dignity, and equal participation of people with disabilities through the education and awareness-raising of key persons and people with disabilities themselves. The project includes a series of information and awareness raising activities, such as creation of training packages, creation of videos and informative material, organizing seminars/workshops, funding activities of CSOs that deal with people with disabilities, dissemination of material and a final event for the presentation and dissemination of the actions and results of the project.

  • professionals working with people with disabilities in any private or public institution
  • social networks of people with disabilities
  • CSOs that deal with people with disabilities
  • other organizations, bodies, institutions, private and public services, etc.

Activities:

  • Developing and publishing four training packages (online and print), covering key Charters and Conventions on the rights of people with disabilities, and tailored to different target groups.
  • Implementation of a series of workshops with different target groups. Seven workshops engaged 142 people with disabilities. Two workshops involved 27 professionals working with people with disabilities. Four workshops supported the social networks of people with disabilities, reaching 68 participants. Additionally, two workshops were held for local municipalities, with 84 participants.
  • Support was provided to twelve CSOs that deliver services and support to people with disabilities to carry out dissemination activities.
  • Publication of informational material: a video on the rights of people with disabilities and project results, and a leaflet on respectful treatment principles.
  • Final conference showcasing the project’s activities and results, attended by a total of 115 participants.
