The project aims to open and pilot a permanent Roma Mediators School in the Region of Thessaly, to train Roma who will go on to play an active liaison role between the Roma community and the public authorities. The project provides for the training of 35 new mediators in issues relating to social policy, rights, inter-cultural communication, digital education and basic administrative procedures, but also for the simultaneous training of current mediators. Alongside the training process, the project includes awareness-raising activities, promoting institutional recognition of mediators’ role, collaboration with an institution abroad for the exchange of best practices, and work experience for the candidates. Real services will be provided in parallel to the Roma community and a mini-documentary will be filmed.

  • Members of the Roma community, with a focus on young people, women and adults aged 18 to 45.
