Fostering partnerships with other Foundations and organisations in Greece and abroad is of crucial significance to Bodossaki Foundation. In line with this approach, the following programmes are already under implementation:
Points of Support: Small Grants, Big Ideas
The Points of Support programme is addressed to Greek private non-profit organisations, and social cooperative enterprises. The programme provides funding in support of original small-scale civil society initiatives with maximum social impact for the benefit of vulnerable social groups. It equally aims to empower and build the capacity of the aforementioned civil society organisations.
The programme is a joint initiative of the John S. Latsis Public Benefit Foundation, the TIMA Charitable Foundation, the Hellenic Hope charity, the Captain Vassilis and Carmen Constantakopoulos Foundation, the A. G. Leventis Foundation, and Bodossaki Foundation.
Currently (2018-2019), the 3rd cycle of the programme is in progress. Under this cycle, 24 civil society initiatives have been funded with up to €5,000 each and are implemented by 34 organisations, 11 of which also participate in the initiatives as partner organisations. The supported initiatives fall under one of the thematic areas listed below, as these have been defined by the programme’s respective donors.
- Social integration of people with disabilities (John S. Latsis Public Benefit Foundation)
- Support of the elderly (TIMA Charitable Foundation)
- Support of children:
- Child protection (Hellenic Hope charity)
- Children and health (Captain Vassilis and Carmen Constantakopoulos Foundation)
- Children and the environment (A. G. Leventis Foundation)
In tandem with the funding made available, the programme also covers the participation of the organisations participating in the programme in capacity building activities, which will be funded by Bodossaki Foundation under its Social Dynamo initiative implemented in partnership with the Municipality of Athens.

Funding patent registration costs
With funding contributed by four Greek public benefit foundations, this programme seeks to promote the Greek research and business sectors, in order to attract investments and encourage Greek researchers to stay in Greece and develop their ideas. Subject to specific conditions being met, the programme funds the costs for the registration of intellectual property rights and patent rights in connection with innovative ideas developed by Greek researchers or research centres. The call for expressions of interest by candidates is available here (in Greek only). The time limit for the submission of applications for participation expired on 2 November 2018.
Get Into: Strategic partnership with Prince’s Trust International
Prince’s Trust International supports young people. Launched by the Prince of Wales in November 2015, it has been sharing since then its successful programmes and expertise with strategic partners and collaborating organisations in countries outside of the United Kingdom. Over more than 40 years, The Prince’s Trust, established by the Prince of Wales in 1976, has helped more than 870,000 young people in the United Kingdom transform their lives.
In Greece, Prince’s Trust International has chosen Bodossaki Foundation as its strategic partner for the implementation of the Get Into programme, run on the ground by knowl Social Cooperative Enterprise for Lifelong Learning. So far, the following companies have joined the programme: Vodafone Greece, Goldair Handling, AVIN & Aegean Airlines.

START – Create Cultural Change
The START scholarship programme provides participants with the opportunity to evolve an innovative idea into a cultural initiative and to develop the professional qualifications that will enable them to turn their initiative into a viable and creative business in the future.
The programme is implemented by the Robert Bosch Stiftung organisation in cooperation with the Goethe-Institut Thessaloniki and the non-profit Federal Association of Socio-cultural Centres (Bundesvereinigung Soziokultureller Zentren e.V.) and is supported by the John S. Latsis Public Benefit Foundation and Bodossaki Foundation.
