This UK-funded project, implemented in partnership with the British Embassy Athens and the British Council Greece, aims to promote gender equality and female empowerment in the workplace, through capacity building and knowledge sharing initiatives between stakeholders in Greece and the UK.

The project took place in three phases. During phase 1 (July 2020) Greek professionals working in the field of gender equality received training by UK experts to address the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on gender relations in corporate environments and on women-led enterprises. Two e-guides expanding on training course content can be found here and here. After that (during phase 2), a virtual roundtable brought together stakeholders from the public, private and non-profit sectors to discuss the main issues affecting gender equality in the workplace.

During the last phase (February 2021), representatives of Greek employers and civil society organisations received training by UK experts on how to design and implement effective activities and campaigns to improve the workplace for women. The training material from the course is available in the form of an e-guide here.
