Young Business Talents is an innovative programme, a management competition with a simulator, which enables high school students from all over the country to engage in hands-on practice in entrepreneurship. Students work in teams to manage their own virtual “company,” making real business decisions and experiencing results in a dynamic environment, competing against other student-run companies.
Bodossaki Foundation supports the programme, ensuring that YBT is offered free of charge to all high schools in Greece.
YBT is carried out online, aiming to provide participants with experiential learning in company management, helping them develop their soft skills (teamwork, critical thinking, analysis & synthesis, decision-making, communication, leadership), as well as their entrepreneurial and digital competencies.
As part of Young Business Talents, student teams act as companies that compete against each other for 11 virtual years until the semifinals—each year lasting one week in real time. Each team makes decisions about their company’s operations, and based on these, the simulator awards the corresponding “Financial Result” (Sales–Profits/Losses). The 75 best-performing teams qualify for the Athens final, where they run their “company” for another 3 virtual years in a single day of competition. Winners receive awards, while all finalist teams are granted participation diplomas. The programme also aims to cultivate entrepreneurial thinking among young people through experiential learning, highlight new entrepreneurial talents, connect education with professional life, promote familiarity with technology, and modernize educational tools.
Young Business Talents is implemented by the Non-Profit Civil Company “ARC Youth & Life” and has been approved by the Ministry of Education & Religious Affairs.
