The project’s overall objective is to defend the fundamental rights of older people and to enhance their active participation in social life through a set of integrated support, empowerment and promotion actions. It focuses on the need for a more inclusive and humane environment for older people, who often experience social exclusion, loneliness and difficulties in accessing services. The intervention is based on four pillars:

– Empowerment & education: Digital seminars and experiential psychosocial support activities enhance older people’s autonomy and participation.

– Communication and awareness raising: Awareness-raising campaigns and public actions combat stereotypes and promote positive models of active ageing.

– Documentation & policy advocacy: Researching and mapping the needs of older people in the Ioannina area, with a view to making proposals on how policies can be improved.

– A European dimension: Collaborating with the French organization E-Seniors in the exchange of best practices and enhanced know-how.

Target groups:

  • Older people (65+), with a particular focus on those who are experiencing social isolation, loneliness, and difficulties accessing services.
