Strengthening Civil Society to Promote Rights-Based Social Welfare

The objective of the project is to promote rights-based reform of Cyprus’ Material Reception Conditions (MRC) system and strengthen the ability of migrant-led and vulnerability-focused organizations (MVCSOs) to participate in inclusive, democratic policymaking processes. To achieve this, the project will: (a) conduct legal and policy reviews, surveys, interviews, and focus groups to map gaps in MRC, (b) co-create an evidence-based policy report and brief with civil society input, (c) facilitate direct policy dialogue between MVCSOs and institutional actors, (d) deliver a capacity-building training and a transnational peer exchange with G2RED (Greece), and (e) promote visibility and stakeholder engagement through public events, media, and online outreach.

Target groups:
• Migrant-led and vulnerability-focused organizations (MVCSOs) and civil society professionals
• Institutional stakeholders (e.g., ministries, MPs)
• Vulnerable Applicants for International Protection (VAIP), such as persons with disabilities, single parents, or survivors of gender-based violence.
