The project’s overall objective is to promote gender equality, using sport – and football, in particular – as a vehicle for empowerment, inclusion and social transformation for children, families and communities. Through thematic training sessions employing the football3 methodology, creative workshops, participatory tournaments, conversations with parents, campaign and research activities, children aged 10-15 years old who live in multicultural and socially vulnerable neighbourhoods in Athens are empowered to become agents of change in their families, schools and neighbourhoods.
