The project aims to promote health justice by improving Culturally Sensitive Respectful Maternity Care (RMC) through empowering migrant/refugee communities and allies, providing tools for minority mothers and healthcare providers, building competence among case and support workers, and sensitising health professionals and decision makers. Project activities include: (a) secondary desk and primary research: interviews and questionnaires from the minority mothers to understand their experiences, (b) engage in advocacy consultations with competent authorities and decision makers to advocate for the needs of the women (c) co-design, development, piloting and testing of an empowerment program for refugee mothers.

• Asylum seekers and refugee women and parents
• Caseworkers and support staff and volunteers in CSOs working with migrant/refugee populations and mothers
• Health professionals and maternity care providers (HCPs)
• Advocates, competent authorities and decision makers in health maternity care
