The project aims to enhance the political participation and legal empowerment of people with disabilities in Cyprus. The objective will be achieved through the implementation of a series of activities, including: (a) analysis of the political and legal context and mapping of barriers to participation faced by people with disabilities, (b) development of an innovative and accessible digital platform for political participation, (c) piloting the platform and assessing the participation of people with disabilities, (d) preparation of a “Participation and Advocacy Guide for people with disabilities”, (e) training and empowerment of members of CSOs to use the digital platform as a tool for advocacy, and (f) provision of legal support (through legal opinions or evidence-based reports) and advocacy.
