In recent years, podcasts have grown significantly in popularity in Greece. To date, they have focused primarily on opinions, discussions and content designed to entertain; however, investigative narrative podcasts focusing on issues of public interest have been absent. Although public interest in quality audio content is growing, a significant gap remains: neither rural stories, nor the root causes of systemic injustices and complex social problems. are adequately covered. The project aims to consolidate Solomon’s ability to produce high-quality narrative audio content, and will provide value to listeners seeking informed, independent journalism on topics on which traditional media rarely shed light. At the same time, it will empower young journalists in Greece, while strengthening narrative audio journalism as a trustworthy tool for public discourse

Target groups:

  • General public
  • Under-served and under-represented communities in rural and semi-urban areas
  • Journalists
