The project responds to the need to strengthen the participation of women aged 45 and over in public debate and democratic processes. This is a social group which, despite its valuable lived and professional experience, often remains both invisible in the spaces where decisions are made and under-represented in the public discourse. The project’s goal is to empower 60 women from different social and geographical contexts including urban, rural and island environments. A targeted training programme will equip the participants with political literacy, public expression and digital communication skills. In parallel, a horizontal and sustainable network of women advocating for a voice and influence in the public sphere will be created.
Target groups:
- Women aged 45 living in urban (Athens), island (Serifos) and rural (Astros Kynourias) contexts in Greece
- Local bodies
- Civil Society Organizations
- Media
- The general public
