The aim of the project is to empower and activate environmental organisations through the expansion of their democratic space for action on issues of environmental action, inclusion and access to justice. Key activities include: (a) organizing thematic collaborative workshops involving active citizens, ENGOs, and local authorities, aimed at improving participation, transparency and accountability, (b) organizing workshops to strengthen the strategic advocacy capacity of organizations to monitor the implementation of environmental legislation, to participate in policy-making and to access justice, (c) conducting advocacy and communicating policy recommendations through meetings with institutional stakeholders, and (d) the implementation of targeted awareness campaigns to strengthen environmental democracy, and the dissemination of the project’s results.
