The project seeks to empower people with neuropsychiatric disorders, caregivers, educators and school children in the EU Charter of Fundamental Rights and the values it enshrines; in the importance of actively participating in public life, and ways of doing so; and in better understanding gender equality. The project aims to help people with neuropsychiatric disorders out of their isolation by educating them by means of specialized and accessible materials, and transforming them into advocates for their rights through intergenerational actions in schools and through advocacy campaigns featuring podcasts and short-form videos. The project will also develop the skills of carers and the wider community in the use of the EU Charter of Fundamental Rights, allowing them to recognize age discrimination and/or rights violations and act appropriately, and thereby promoting their active participation in public and political life.
Target groups:
- Individuals with neuropsychiatric disorders (INPD)
- Informal carers or other relatives of INPD
- Formal carers and professionals working with INPD and volunteers
- Students and teachers
