The ZO+ project’s central objective is to pave the way for institutionally recognized inclusive sport and active citizenship, focusing on judo as a tool for the empowerment, self-determination and social participation of vulnerable groups. Based on the first global and scientifically documented practice of mixed and inclusive judo competitions and training developed by Include, ZO+ aims to enhance the participation of vulnerable citizens in public life and promote the development of inclusive democracy through equality in sport and political dialogue. The project is implemented around four main axes. a) Research to identify institutional gaps and best practices at European level; b) Actions to inform and raise the awareness of sports and political bodies in Greece; c) Advocacy through evidence-based policy proposals and the establishment of an inclusive association; d) Exchange of best practices at European level.
