The main results of the projects implemented under the two open calls of the “Building a robust and democratic civic space” (BUILD) programme are presented in the infographics above.
With a total funding of €2.3 million, BUILD supported the implementation of 42 projects by 64 organizations in Greece and Cyprus, with the aim of protecting, promoting and widely recognizing the fundamental values and rights of the European Union, while strengthening the capacities and sustainability of civil society organizations (CSOs) in both countries.
Through awareness-raising, training, advocacy, and the exchange of best practices, the funded projects achieved significant results. More than 1.5 million people participated in awareness-raising and educational activities, thousands of citizens received targeted support services, and new tools have been created to protect and promote the values of the European Union. In addition, 184 CSOs benefited from participating in Capacity Building Programme.
