Bodossaki Foundation announces Distinguished Young Scientist Awards 2027.
The Distinguished Young Scientist Awards, established by Bodossaki Foundation, recognise the creative work of young Greek scientists, reward their dedication to the advancement of science, honour their ethos and contribute to the promotion of outstanding role models for society.
For 2027, the Foundation has decided to award four prizes, which are each accompanied by a financial award of €20,000, in the following academic fields:
- Basic Sciences: Mathematics
- Life Sciences: Biomedical Sciences
- Applied Sciences / Technologies: Intelligent Robotic and Autonomous Systems
- Social Sciences: Economics or Political Sciences
The deadline for the submission of nominations is 19 October 2026.
The selection criteria include the candidates’ outstanding contribution to their scientific field and their contribution to the international promotion of Greece through their work and their ethos, based on the submitted information.
Submission of nominations
Nominations are submitted exclusively by third‑party nominators and are approved and supported by two referees through the submission of letters of recommendation.
Young Scientist Awards Committee
The Young Scientist Awards Committee, a 10-member advisory body composed of distinguished members of the scientific community, plays a central role in the Distinguished Young Scientist Awards of Bodossaki Foundation. The Committee recommends to the Board of Trustees the academic fields in which the Awards are to be presented and submits its proposals for the selection and nomination of candidates.
