Announcing the launch of the VOICES programme

The Bodossaki Foundation, , as co-funder and coordinator, in consortium with the NGO Support Centre (Cyprus) and The Marangopoulos Foundation for Human Rights (MFHR), is is announcing the launch of the “Voicing opposition to domestic, sexual, cyber violence & harmful practices” (VOICES) programme. With total funding of €2.5 million, the VOICES programme aims to strengthen civil society in Greece and Cyprus.

The programme’s official launch in Greece is scheduled for 2 April 2026. To confirm your attendance, please click here.

The VOICES Programme is co-funded by the European Union under the “Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values” programme (CERV-2025-DAPHNE), the Bodossaki Foundation, The Marangopoulos Foundation for Human Rights and the NGO Support Centre. VOICES aims to prevent and combat all forms of gender-based violence (GBV) by supporting civil society organisations (CSOs) in Greece and Cyprus which are active in this field, but also by enhancing their organisational capacity, sustainability and participation in policy-making. Particular emphasis will be placed on supporting small and grassroots organisations, as well as organisations active in rural or remote areas.

The selection of Bodossaki Foundation, the NGO Support Centre (Cyprus), and the MFHR as programme managers is an important development for Greece and Cyprus. Their joint proposal was one of just four projects selected continent-wide following a rigorous and highly competitive evaluation procedure, and has secured €2.5 million in funding for the implementation of projects in the two countries.

Over its three-year implementation period, from February 2026 to January 2029, VOICES will fund approximately 37 projects in Greece (29 in Greece and 8 in Cyprus) through an open call for proposals. The projects will contribute to the prevention and combating of domestic and sexual violence, gender-based cyber-bullying, and harmful practices related to gender-based violence. At the same time, the programme will help to strengthen the role of CSOs in advocacy and policy-making, while also bolstering their organisational effectiveness and sustainability.

Through its actions, the programme is expected to benefit people who have experienced or are at risk of gender-based violence, women and girls facing intersectional discrimination, individuals impacted by gender-based cyber violence, and survivors of harmful practices related to gender-based violence. The programme is also aimed at frontline professionals, the media, public authorities, policymakers and the general public.

The VOICES programme will also deliver a comprehensive capacity-building programme which has been tailored to the needs of CSOs in Greece and Cyprus and will promote their organisational development and sustainability. The programme will be implemented by Social Dynamo, the Bodossaki Foundation’s NGO Hub, in collaboration with the NGO Support Centre and the Marangopoulos Foundation for Human Rights, and will encompass training, workshops and mentoring; specialized support; networking, awareness-raising and advocacy initiatives; and organisational development tools.

Further details regarding the calls for applications and the deadline for submissions will be announced shortly by the Bodossaki Foundation.
