As it responds to the great social needs of the present time, and with the wellbeing of people as its primary focus, the Bodossaki Foundation acts in a role that extends beyond that of a funding organization. It serves as a channel for philanthropy and a catalyst for a wider culture of contribution in Greek society, managing the resources of donors – institutions, Greek and international foundations, corporations and individuals – who wish to fund programmes with significant impact on Greek society.

In this broader role of social contribution, the Bodossaki Foundation makes available to its partners, for the benefit of society, the knowledge and experience it has gained from its different roles as donor, manager of institutional resources and NGO hub.

  • As a donor, the Foundation has since its establishment allocated over €480 million to achieve its objectives.
  • Since 2013, the Foundation has managed over €65 million from other donors (EEA Grants programmes, Greek and international foundations, corporations).
  • As an NGO hub, the Bodossaki Foundation’s Social Dynamo has welcomed and empowered more than 1,644 Civil Society organisations and more than 22,173 representatives of organisations and institutions.

As a channel for contribution to Greek society, the Bodossaki Foundation partners with:

  • Businesses, to create corporate social responsibility programmes.
  • Institutions, by managing resources made available to Greece (re-granting).
  • Other Greek and international foundations wishing to fund programmes with significant social impact in Greece.
  • Individual donors, making available to them the Foundation’s experience and expertise, the mechanisms it has in place and the skills of its staff.
