A WALK AROUND NAFPLIO IN THE YEARS OF GREECE’S REGENERATION – PELOPONNESIAN FOLKLORE FOUNDATION

The thematic educational programme “A Walk around Nafplio in the Years of Greece’s Regeneration” was created with the support of Bodossaki Foundation, by the Peloponnesian Folklore Foundation “V. Papantoniou” in collaboration with the National Gallery – Department of Nafplio, in the framework of the Bicentennial Initiative 1821-2021.

This themed walk is addressed to groups of primary and secondary school students, in the form of a digital tour of the city of Nafplio and the collections of the Peloponnesian Folklore Foundation and the National Gallery – Annex of Nafplio. Its purpose is to take the children along a journey through time, to important events of the Revolution of 1821 and the post-revolutionary years, until King Otto’s departure from Greece in 1862.

Thanks to the digital application of the tour, the action is accessible by students from all over Greece, as well as to anyone interested in taking a walk in the city of Nafplio at the time of the Revolution of 1821 and the years that followed it. The digital tour is available via the following links:
