Support of schools for the “Formula 1” Panhellenic School Students Competition

Bodossaki Foundation assisted two public schools, the General Upper Secondary Chiliomodi and the “Manolis Andronikos” 1st Model General Upper Secondary School of Thessaloniki, in their preparation for participating in the “Formula 1” Panhellenic School Students Competition (“F1 in Schools Greece”).

Based on the Inquired Based Project teaching method and aimed at students up to the age of 19, the international interdisciplinary educational programme “F1 in Schools” has the following objectives:

  • To introduce new methods of applied/experiential learning and innovation / embryonic research in education.
  • To help students develop STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) skills.
  • To help students develop personal and professional skills.
  • To help students acquire knowledge about entrepreneurship and innovation.
  • To contribute to the upgrading of Technical/Vocational Education.
  • To encourage students to pursue a professional career in the areas of New Technologies and Engineering.

The grant provides for the provision to the General Upper Secondary Chiliomodi and the “Manolis Andronikos” 1st Model General Upper Secondary School of Thessaloniki, “of equipment for designing and building small-scale self-propelled wheelchairs for the “Formula 1” Panhellenic School Students Competition.
