Support for the ‘SYN-ENERGIA’ programme to combat the effects of energy poverty among vulnerable households

The ‘SYN-ENERGIA’ programme was designed by Impact Hub Labs in collaboration with Electra Energy Social Cooperative Enterprise to research and propose practical tools to combat the effects of energy poverty on vulnerable households.

The Bodossaki Foundation is supporting the programme through the Thematic Grants Programme.

The programme seeks to address the challenges of energy poverty with the ‘SYN-ENERGIA’ toolkit by making use of energy communities and virtual energy offsetting.

The toolkit identifies both energy vulnerable households and energy communities which can assist in reducing energy costs through the provision of the virtual energy offsetting parts of photovoltaic projects. The energy produced will be offset against consumption, thus leading to a drastic reduction in bills.

At the same time, the organisation is implementing educational activities and political advocacy projects.
