Grant for the National Skills Competition and participation in EuroSkills 2027

With the aim of strengthening, promoting and highlighting Vocational Education and Training in Greece, the Bodossaki Foundation has supported, since 2023, the country’s registration with WorldSkills Europe, the organisation of the National Skills Competition and Greece’s participation in the EuroSkills competition, as well as educational meetings and initiatives for sharing best practices. In 2026, the grant is being made with the support of Ms Ariane Condellis, a long-standing and ardent supporter of vocational education in Greece.

The 3rd National Skills Competition, held on Saturday 10 October 2026 by the General Secretariat for Vocational Education, Training and Lifelong Learning of the Ministry of Education, Religious Affairs and Sports, recorded the highest number of participants in the history of the event in Greece. Participants competed in five skilled areas.

  • Automotive Mechatronics Technician
  • Electrical Systems, Installations and Networks Technician
  • Graphic Arts / Print and Digital Media Graphic Design
  • IT Applications Technician (Web Development)
  • Metal Welding and Cutting Technician

Through practical tests tailored to the requirements of each professional field, young people had the opportunity to demonstrate their technical skills, creativity and ability to tackle specific challenges.

The top two winners in each skilled area will participate in a preparation and evaluation programme to represent Greece at the EuroSkills 2027 European Competition, to be held in Düsseldorf, Germany, with the participation of 36 countries.
