17 public middle schools have been equipped with natural science laboratories, benefiting over 3,260 students to date
ElvalHalcor and Cenergy Holdings supported the Bodossaki Foundation’s “Experience Science” programme in 2025–2026, contributing substantially to upgrading laboratory-based science education in Greek state lower secondary schools and fostering core skills among students.
The “Experience Science” programme is a Bodossaki Foundation initiative aimed at upgrading and modernizing the laboratory equipment that is essential for teaching Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. The programme is being implemented in collaboration with the Panhellenic Association of Heads of Natural Science Centres (PAN.E.K.F.E.).
With the support of ElvalHalcor and Cenergy Holdings—and in collaboration with the Bodossaki Foundation—natural science laboratories in 17 public middle schools across Voiotia, Evia and the Ioannina region were equipped during the 2025–2026 school year, benefiting more than 3,260 students.
The beneficiary schools are located in areas where companies belonging to Cenergy Holdings and ElvalHalcor operate—specifically Thiva, Livadeia, Aliartos, Thespies, Domvraina, Chalkida, Oinofyta, Schimatari, Avlonas, and Doliana in the Ioannina region.
The programme delivers the following:
- Comprehensive laboratory equipment, organized into Physics, Chemistry, and Biology kits, as well as a teacher’s kit
- Upgraded classroom infrastructure, including up-to-date storage and multimedia presentation tools
- Multi-year usability, ensuring the equipment serves future classes and expands the student benefit year after year
Both ElvalHalcor and Cenergy Holdings have committed to continuing the programme in collaboration with the Bodossaki Foundation and PAN.E.K.F.E., and plans are already underway to provide natural science laboratory equipment to other state lower secondary schools across the country.
