The Bodossaki Foundation and Fondation CHANEL continue their collaboration for the promotion of gender equality and women’s empowerment in Greece and announce the 2nd Call of Cycle B’ of the Capacity Building Programme.
The current three-year cycle of cooperation between the Bodossaki Foundation and Fondation CHANEL succeeds the Capacity Building Programme for Civil Society Organizations active in the field of gender equality in Greece, which the two institutions embarked on in 2023. In the first cycle of cooperation, the initiative supported fifteen Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) active in these sectors. More than 2,700 people benefited directly and more than 11,000 indirectly as a result.
In the second cycle, the Programme is extended to support more than 20 CSOs through two open calls. The 1st call, “Organizational Development Grants” (May 2025), led to the selection of 12 CSOs to receive up to two years’ support in upgrading their organisational capacity. The participants also take part in a targeted capacity building programme implemented by Social Dynamo, the Bodossaki Foundation’s NGO Hub.
2nd Call: Capacity building and small-scale grants
The 2nd Call is addressed at small and medium sized CSOs that wish to receive financial support for the implementation of a small-scale project (€10,000) and at the same time participate in a tailored capacity building programme to upgrade their operation, which will contribute to the further development and strengthening of their activity for the promotion of gender equality and/or the empowerment of women in Greece. In total, 10 organisations will receive support for participation in the Programme.
The organisations selected for funding will be invited to participate in two mandatory phases of the Programme:
Phase I: Participation in a specialised Capacity Building Programme
The CSOs will participate in a specialised Capacity Building Programme of six months duration, which will be implemented by the Bodossaki Foundation via Social Dynamo, the Foundation’s NGO Hub.
On completion of the programme, the participating organizations will apply the knowledge and skills they have acquired in a simulated project pitching event in which they present the finalised proposal for the small-scale project outlined in their initial application.
Phase II: Grant of €10,000 for the implementation of a small-scale project.
The beneficiaries will implement the approved project with a total budget of €10,000.
Applications must be completed and submitted online via the JIRA platform by Tuesday 5 May, 2026, (15:00).
The presentation of the 2nd Call will take place on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, at 10:30 at the Bodossaki Foundation (1st floor, 14 Mourouzi Street, 106 74 Athens). To participate in the event, registration is required here.
In the “Downloads” section on the right side of the page, you will find the solemn declaration, the terms and conditions of participation, the application template for participation in the Programme, and the budget template. The results will be announced in July 2026.
