The Civil Society Fund Greece (CSF Greece) is supported through a €14.3 million grant from Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway under the EEA Grants 2021–2028. The aim of the programme is to foster a vibrant and resilient civil society that protects and promotes democracy, the rule of law, and human rights. Through 12 open calls, the programme will support more than 120 projects implemented by civil society organisations (CSOs) across Greece, while strengthening their capacity, sustainability and impact.
The Fund Operator for the Civil Society Fund in Greece is the Bodossaki Foundation in consortium with SolidarityNow.

CSF Greece is built on the shared European values of democracy, human dignity, equality, inclusion, participation and respect for fundamental rights.
The programme will support initiatives across six thematic areas:
- democracy, civic participation and media and information integrity;
- participation of civil society organisations in democratic processes;
- human rights, social justice and non-discrimination;
- gender equality;
- climate action, environmental protection and a just green transition;
- organisational development and long-term sustainability of civil society organisations.
A key focus of the programme is to strengthen civil society organisations and the broader civil society sector through targeted funding and capacity-building initiatives.
The programme also promotes cooperation beyond national borders by encouraging bilateral partnerships between CSOs in Greece and the Donor States, while fostering regional cooperation and the exchange of knowledge, expertise and good practices with CSOs across the 15 EEA beneficiaries states.
By combining financial support with capacity building, networking and international cooperation, Civil Society Fund Greece seeks to strengthen the civil society sector, enabling organisations to respond effectively to current and emerging societal challenges, increase citizens’ participation in democratic life and contribute to a more inclusive, resilient and sustainable society.
