The Capacity Building Programme will offer a wide range of capacity-building opportunities to the Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) in Greece and Cyprus which are selected for funding under the “Voicing Opposition to domestic, sexual, cyber violence & harmful practices” (VOICES) initiative.

The programme will be coordinated by Social Dynamo, the Bodossaki Foundation’s NGO Hub, in collaboration with the Marangopoulos Foundation for Human Rights and the NGO Support Centre.

The Capacity Building Programme includes:

  • Proposal writing workshops
  • Awareness-raising workshops
  • Participatory advocacy network
  • A structured advocacy training programme
  • Organizational development training workshops
  • Specialized training in European and national legislation
  • International Certifications (in collaboration with PM4NGOs)
  • Career support and advice services
  • Networking and community-building activities

The Capacity Building Programme will begin by supporting organizations during the proposal drafting process with application-writing and awareness-raising workshops which will be staged in both Greece and Cyprus

Proposal Writing Workshops

The proposal writing workshops will be held between April and June 2026 in six cities across Greece and Cyprus, as well as online:

19 May 2026: Child Protection Policy

An online training seminar introducing participants to the concept and importance of Child Protection Policy.

AWARENESS-RAISING WORKSHOPS

The awareness-raising workshops will focus on the European regulatory framework for preventing and combating violence against women and domestic violence. In support of the open call for proposals, a series of online awareness-raising sessions will be held for CSOs in Greece and Cyprus, covering regulatory, jurisprudential, and institutional developments at European level.

The Marangopoulos Foundation for Human Rights will be offering four online workshops in all, each lasting three hours, between April and June 2026.

ACTIVITIES FOR GRANTEE CSOs

The Capacity Building Programme will continue after the completion of the open call, with a comprehensive programme of actions designed to increase the capacity of the CSOs selected for funding. The programme will provide opportunities for learning, professional development, networking and building advocacy capacities.

In this context, focused training sessions will be held on national and European policies for the prevention and combating of gender-based violence, as well as on best practices implemented in EU Member States. At the same time, a structured advocacy training programme will be provided, along with actions targeting networking and community-building. Finally, the programme will launch and run a Participatory Advocacy Network for gender-based and domestic violence.

In addition, a flexible training programme covering key aspects of organizational development will be offered through monthly sessions, held both in person and online.

At the same time, representatives of the grantee CSOs will have the opportunity to receive training and certification in two international programmes—one in Project Management (PMD Pro), the other in Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL DPro)—in collaboration with PM4NGOs.

Lastly, the programme will offer professional support services, including team mentoring, executive coaching and advisory services on legal and tax matters.
