The Bodossaki Foundation is awarding 63 scholarships
\nfor the 2025\u201326 academic year<\/strong><\/p>\n

Isidora\u2019s next step will take her to Oxford for studies in Clinical Embryology. For Giorgos, it will be Columbia University for Architectural and Bioclimatic Design. Alexandra will soon be at the Karolinska Institute in Sweden, studying Bioentrepreneurship. Kimonas is heading to Imperial College London for a postgraduate degree in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.<\/p>\n

Each of them has already travelled a long way. Their journeys so far have involved obstacles which they have learned to overcome, so they could continue to move forward, guided by their love for their field and their dreams for the future. And now we move forward together.<\/p>\n

For the 53rd year, the Bodossaki Foundation is supporting, through its scholarship programmes, the next step of 63 young people who will continue their studies at leading universities in 14 countries. Among these are institutions in France, such as the \u00c9cole Polytechnique and the University of the Sorbonne, for studies in Theoretical Physics, Computer Science, and the Life Sciences; in the United Kingdom, including Oxford, Cambridge and Imperial College, for studies in Life Sciences, Aeronautics and Artificial Intelligence; in the United States, including Columbia, MIT and Stanford, for business studies; in Switzerland, at ETH for Computer Science; in Sweden, at KTH and Karolinska for studies in Life Sciences and Cybersecurity; in the Netherlands, at the University of Amsterdam for Artificial Intelligence; in Germany, at Ruprecht-Karls University in Heidelberg for Molecular Biosciences; and in Greece, at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens for studies in Immunology. These 63 new scholars are joining the Bodossaki Foundation\u2019s Community of Scholars, which now comprises more than 2,700 members.<\/p>\n

The new scholarships are for postgraduate studies, postdoctoral research, and research visits, under the Foundation\u2019s three scholarship programmes: the 53rd Regular Scholarship Programme, which supports postgraduate studies; the \u2018Stamatis G. Mantzavinos\u2019 Postdoctoral Research Scholarships Programme; and the Visiting Research Scientists Programme, which provides researchers based in Greece with grants for short-term scientific research at institutions abroad.<\/p>\n

For yet another year, the Bodossaki Foundation will continue to receive and manage third-party funds as part of its Scholarship Programmes. These donors, inspired by the Foundation\u2019s work and mission, seek to support young people by funding scholarships. Thus the Foundation continues to collaborate with the Public Benefit Foundation for Social and Cultural Work (KIKPE), which in 2025 is funding 10 postgraduate scholarships in the field of Life Sciences, as well as with the Hellenic Parliament, which is also financing scholarships for postgraduate study. Private donors, too, have demonstrated a practical commitment to supporting young people in achieving the studies they dream of, recognising the Bodossaki Foundation as a reliable and effective channel for their philanthropy.<\/p>\n

As a result, this year the \u2018Elizabeth Fotiou Fotinelli \u2013 Ioannis Dimitriou Kritikos Scholarships\u2019 will again support postgraduate studies in the Life Sciences. In addition, the \u2018Scholarship of the Scholars\u2019 initiative is once again funding a postgraduate scholarship with donations collected from previous Bodossaki Foundation scholars.<\/p>\n

In 2025, the two main areas of interest for scholarship applicants were Applied Sciences and Technology, encompassing the popular fields of Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science and Data Analysis, and the Life Sciences, which include very popular disciplines such as Molecular Medicine, Bioinformatics, Neurosciences and Biomedical Technology.<\/p>\n

For the Bodossaki Foundation, the selection of scholars is made by assessing academic achievement, financial circumstances, and personal character. Particular emphasis is placed on candidates\u2019 financial circumstances, as the scholarships are a practical expression of the Foundation\u2019s vision for equal opportunities, enabling talent and creating prospects for all.<\/p>\n

For the Bodossaki Foundation, the award of a scholarship also marks the beginning of an ongoing relationship of dialogue and support with its scholars. Within the vibrant and dynamic Scholars\u2019 Community, through opportunities for connection, learning and collaboration, the Foundation continues to support its scholars after their scholarships have ended\u2014fostering their scientific development and encouraging their contribution to society.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
