Through this initiative, the Foundation seeks as far as it is able to address social needs identified as priority areas.<\/p>\n<p>Five projects, each lasting up to 12 months, will receive grants of up to \u20ac50,000 each in order to address the following priorities:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0In the areas of Education and Environment: supporting initiatives related to environmental education and the green transition of schools.<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0In the area of Health: supporting initiatives related to primary preventive healthcare.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The following is a list of organisations and projects selected for funding, categorised according to their particular thematic area:<\/p>\n<p><strong>I. \u2018Environmental Education and Green Transition of Schools\u2019<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>1. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eepf.gr\/en\/\">Hellenic Society for the Protection of Nature<\/a> \u2013 Partnership for Green Education in Greece \u2013 \u2018Eco-Schools\u2019<\/p>\n<p>2. <a href=\"https:\/\/ecogenia.org\/\">Ecogenia Non-Profit Organisation<\/a> \u2013 Implementation of the environmental curriculum \u2018Local Green Heroes\u2019 in collaboration with the European Outdoor Education Hub<\/p>\n<p>3. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.demokritos.gr\/\">\u2018Demokritos\u2019 National Centre for Scientific Research<\/a>\u2013 Students as young researchers in the magical world of composting, in collaboration with 2nd Gymnasium of Pefki, Secondary Education Directorate of the II District of Athens<\/p>\n<p><strong>II. \u2018Primary Preventive Healthcare\u2019<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>1. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.eie.gr\/nhrf\/institutes\/icb\/about_en.html\">Institute of Chemical Biology &#8211; National Hellenic Research Foundation<\/a> \u2013 Prevention of pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma, in collaboration with the 2nd Surgical Clinic of the Aretaeio Hospital, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens<\/p>\n<p>2. <a href=\"https:\/\/helpa-prometheus.gr\/\">\u2018Prometheus\u2019 Hellenic Liver Patient Association<\/a> \u2013 Pilot programme for prevention of smoking and promotion of healthy eating and regular physical activity in the Special Juvenile Correctional Facility of Volos, in collaboration with the Hellenic Pulmonary Society<\/p>\n<p>The Bodossaki Foundation&#8217;s Thematic Grants Programme issues annual thematic funding calls to address social needs identified as priority areas, based on the findings of the social needs assessment of the Bodossaki Foundation.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Bodossaki Foundation announces the projects selected for funding in 2024 as part of the Thematic Grants Programme.
